My skin in Africa
I grew up in South Africa with half the family having dark skin and easily tanning... and then there was me and my dad. We were blessed with the pale white, English skin, and a billion freckles. My mother hoped if she popped me in the sun for long enough, my skin would get used to it. It didn't! I was regularly burnt from a day on the beach. My dad, on the other hand, had me on the beach in a T shirt, hat and lathered up with the highest factor sunblock, looking like I was about to swim the Channel.
20 years later in England
From my early twenties it became apparent that my skin wasn't like my friends'. By now I was living in England, but I was having patches of my face frozen and burnt, applying prescription creams to try and turn back time and the damage. It was sore. It didn't make me look or feel my best. I had to be careful brushing my hair because the bristles would catch the sun damage. I wanted to mountain bike and windsurf, but I had to pick my time that I could be outside.
50 years on in New Zealand
By my early fifties, my skin was red, blotchy, spotty and looking pretty bad. Peri and full-blown menopause probably weren't helping Possibly even the odd glass of vino should have been removed from my diet! I went to my doctor in despair, presuming the worst and that I was going to have another piece of my face cut out. Instead, he informed me that my skin cancer had progressed and was now officially stage one. He suggested I try daily creams and introduced me to SolarCare B3.
What happened next?
I was visiting my beautician friend, Gaius, from The Beauty Hut in Cambridge and sharing my woes about my skin. Gaius took some photos and asked to share them with another beautician in Australia to get some advise. A few weeks later I went back to see Gaius and she was gobsmacked at the change in my skin. Meanwhile, friends, colleagues, even strangers had started to comment on how good my skin looked. The only thing I changed was that I had bought the whole range of SolarCare B3 and started to use it religiously day and night.
2 years on
I haven't had any skin cut out and I no longer use the cream that burns my skin cancer! My skin is looking better than it has in years. I rarely get pimples, the red blotches have gone, my tone is even and it feels smooth. Heck, I even found myself a toyboy! When I decided to sell my Natural Epsom Salt business, I wanted to do something new. It seemed to make sense to share what I was using to help others. So, here I am, with Solar Care B3.
Not born for sales!
Since I was 13 and working in a pet shop, I have been pretty rubbish at selling. The reason is I can only hand on heart try and sell something if I truly believe in it. I decided many years ago to only ever sell products I loved, and ones that I would use myself or gift if they weren't selling. So, here is Solar Care B3 as part of my MMM adventure. I use it, every day., morning and night. My daughter and partner use it. I am passionate about looking after my skin and growing old disgracefully, with a heap of colour and fun times to remember!
Ask me for a sample.
I do have samples so please ask for 1 or 2 to try. I can be a bit rubbish at remembering to give them to people. So, if you're popping in or ordering something, feel free to remind me to share!
